My wife has a 2006 IS-250 and travels daily as a healthcare provider. Today she was way out in Jacumba from our home in Chula Vista and had a failure of her electronic key fob. I spoke to Tory Becker in your Service Dept. who spent several minutes on the phone explaining how to handle that situation. The problem was resolved allowing her to get home and avoiding me having to drive all the way out there. That customer service is really excellent and I just wanted to commend Tory and your dealership for going the extra mile.

We received the “Sales Experience Survey” that you sent to us and hve enclosed the completed form with this letter. After looking over your survey, my wife and I decided that it didn’t adequately reflect our experience at Bob Baker Toyota when we purchased our new Venza.

We came into the dealership to take a quick look at the Venza that we saw advertised on television and had no real intention of purchasing one in the immediate future. When we arrived in the new car sales area we were greeted by a very polite, enthusiastic young man by the name of JR Villarta. We couldn’t have asked for any better treatment than “JR” provided.

My wife and I surprised ourselves at how much we really like this car and after inquiring about pricing were introduced to Ian Jaffe the New Car Sales Manager. Like “JR,” Ian was very friendly, professional and very open about pricing. What we liked most was that we didn’t feel we were being pressured to buy something that day or accepting a car with options that we didn’t want.

All of the people we came in contact with at Bob Baker Toyota were friendly, professional and treated Linda and I the way everyone would like to be treated but seldom are. JR and Ian were always available and patient with our many questions and phone calls; Tracy Lupinacci in Finance had all of the mountains of paperwork prepared accurately, explained all of our options and even found us a lower finance rate than we had available at our Credit Union. All of this with a friendliness rather than that “push out the door” feeling we have experienced before at other car dealers. Last but not least was Hung Phu in your service department. How can you not like a guy with an infectious smile that greets you by name?

These people are the reasons why your survey did not go far enough to express our experience at Bob Baker Toyota. I know five stars are considered excellent but our experience was truly six stars or OUTSTANDING.

We never dreamed that the purchase of a new car could be an enjoyable experience……but it was!

It was time for a different truck, I’d been shopping for weeks and Bob Baker Toyota Lemon Grove was the only Toyota dealer in my area I hadn’t been to yet.

As I arrived on site at the used car office I was greeted by Rick Saleh, not swarmed, but greeted. Rick had a sincere smile and was warm and helpful throughout the negotiation process. He listened to Fakhoury, his manager. I was not introduced as a customer, but more as a friend would introduce you to another. Throughout the process, Rick and Marwan were both light in conversation and professional. Never did I feel that I was being taken advantage of and all prices and details to the sale were fair and on the table. No hidden fees, paper work, missing keys, registration or any other games played by many other dealerships I have dealt with in the past. In fact, this was an enjoyable car purchase for me. Even in dealing and working on numbers, both Rick and Marwan were pleasant, respectful and honest. We soon came to an agreement that was suitable for all.

Service didn’t stop there. This kindly attitude was then extended into the finance office, where I met Sam Amiri. Sam was pleasant and professional. I asked him not to try to sell me any of the extras I wasn’t interested in and not even a word came from him about it. He was able to get me a few things I was interested in at very reasonable prices. (Believe me, I’ve compared them) His service was fast and he took the time to explain anything I asked him to clarify.

Even to this day, over a month after purchase I am still receiving excellent care and service. Evan Waller at the front desk has helped me stay in communication with all parties involved with the sale. All follow-up questions have been answered quickly. I can truly say I am a satisfied customer.

I have purchased 7 new/used vehicles in my life, and work in a field of constant big money deals. I am not an easy customer by any extension. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, I would strongly suggest going to see Rick Saleh, have him introduce you to Marwan Fakhoury and give them the time to make the deal right for you!

Let me share a little good news! I have and ’07 Prius which I bought from Bob Baker. And, I am always serviced at your locations. Several days ago, a tire inflation light went on. The simple filling of the tires became complicated in ways that are not important to describe here. What is important is to not that I called blindly to your service center late Thursday night and got Ed Rhodes. He listened politely and, even though it was late in the afternoon, he invited me to come over. Ed put a wonderfully competent technical person on it. In minutes, I was on my way. Even with Ed’s OK, the tech would not take a modest tip. Talk about building customer loyalty!

I usually would not write about a dealership experience unless it totally blows! But I was SHOCKED! These guys are awesome. They are really nice, and have great customer service. They have patience as my husband is that guy that asks every question in the book. And dude we have been there like everyday this week. Did we buy a car? Yes we did. I got a Subaru for Mothers Day...pretty sweet for me huh, :P

Anyhow these guys are professional and they are not like other dealerships around here in SD, they do take care of you. Our sales man was Randall, he is a really nice guy and all in all he has been really helpful throughout the entire car buying experience.

Check this place out if you want to test drive a Subaru or Chevy or whatever, its worth it. The Sales Manager and Financing people tell you like it is and there is not all that BS like you sometimes get at other dealerships around town. No pressure what so ever to buy, and they make you feel as comfortable as possible when shopping around. Highly recommend these guys!

I purchased my CPO lexus from the kearny mesa location here in san diego. I have had bad experiences with the service departments at both the kearny mesa and carlsbad locations when I decided to give Bob Baker a try. Please note that Bob Baker is an additional 15 miles for me to get there, but once I met "T" I knew I found a dealership I could depend on to have my car serviced. Buying a car is one thing, but having someone you know will take care of the car is most important. T has always been very accomodating and I've been taking my car to him for the last 4 years. My father in law and good friend have even purchased a lexus at their dealership because I told them T would take care of them after the fact. He is an asset to this dealership and I would follow him if he decided to move to another lexus dealership.

From the moment I walked onto the lot, I felt no pressure and was treated like an adult-shocking at a car dealership I know!  The staff is professional, serious and not pushy.  I knew that I was going to buy a WRX for a while.  It was just a matter of which dealership was going to get my business based on customer service.  I came in knowing what I could get in terms of finance options and although they initially thought I was bluffing, they turned around and matched it.

I haven't gone back for maintenance because I do that myself, but I absolutely recommend this place.  I can't remember the salesmen who helped me out, but he was very low key and basically threw me the keys to test drive it once he approached me.

If you are in So Cal and are looking for a Subaru dealership to go to, trust me, I went to several awful ones and this is the one you want to go to!

We looked around the lot at the El Cajon Bob Baker for a good 10 minutes before someone approached us. The sales guy had a no pressure attitude, gave us our space when we needed it, and treated us properly. We test drove. We haggled a bit. We went home to think it over. The next day we went back with the decision to buy the car. There was a chip in the windshield, which at first they said they would fix, then they just told us they'd just replace the whole thing. We had originally been looking with the idea that we would take advantage of a loan deal that my credit union had going on, but the financing guy at Bob Baker let us know that another credit union had a lower rate. Also, he mentioned extra protection and maintenance packages, but we declined and he didn't pursue it further. Oh, and they had brought in Greek food while we were there and ate til we were stuffed.

Since we have purchased, we have taken the car back for its 65k service, as well as oil changes. They actually drove my wife home and picked her up later when the car was ready (from El Cajon to Normal Heights) during the 65k visit. There were donuts and coffee too.

Now, i am not naive enough not to understand that this low-pressure stuff is a calculated business approach, but i sure as hell would rather this than some slickster with his four square paper and the old salesman pass-around. I'm a fan of this place.

Nice folk.  Went in to buy that part I was talking about earlier, and they gave me the part number and asked me if I needed anything else.  Did everything I asked with a smile.  

I couldn't remember which way the gasket went, so the service advisor asked one of his technicians, and they helped me out.  No charge of course.

Great folk.  When I get my $, I will buy my LS460h here.
